Design Process

I assume that I'm going to open my own onigiri cafe YOKO and create a website for this cafe. “YOKO” is named after my grandma’s name.

Onigiri is a rice ball that popular in Japan as portable and convenient food. Nowadays, it’s popular overseas.

Website Features

  • The theme color is inspired by the scene of eating salmon onigiri under the clear sky.

  • Highlight “Contact” as a CTA button and stick the navigation bar on the top

  • Put a link to each section

  • Put a vertical line to let users scroll down to the last section
    Create the logo in Photoshop

Store Logo

I created the store logo in Photoshop.  I pretended the "O" shape as an onigiri and then put a rectangle shape for seaweed for the first one. For the second "O", I put a red dot for Ume ( salted plum). Additionally, I added "YOKO" in Japanese at the bottom.
